I never actually read this before, so after getting it for my step daughter for Christmas I thought I might give it a go. I quite enjoyed it, and found the new movie with Jonny Depp is much closer to the book that the older one I grew up with. Other than the dentist dad it was spot on. It was a masterful work of story telling and I recommend it to everyone of all ages.
